- The Greek PDMA announced that during the 13W T-Bills auction of EUR 400mn which took place yesterday, the total bids reached EUR 1,033mn and the amount finally accepted was EUR 500mn at a uniform yield of 2.01% (vs 1.95 % in the previous 13W T-Bills auction in April 2026).

- Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis used a cabinet meeting to defend Greece’s executive state model and push back against criticism from within his governing party, according to government officials and remarks cited on Wednesday. Mitsotakis said lawmakers participate in consultations on issues affecting their regions, responding to complaints that their role has been diminished. He added that the executive state concerns the executive, not the legislative branch”, because the obligations of the government are difference from those of Parliament, as defined by the Constitution.

- President Christodoulides received a Chevron delegation at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, telling its representatives that internal procedures related to an agreement on Cypriot natural gas are close to completion. According to a press release by the Presidency, Christodoulides told the delegation, led by Javier La Rosa, that international and regional developments made it even more urgent to accelerate the implementation of Cyprus energy plans. He said advancing those plans was of particular importance both for the wider region and for the EU, at a time when energy security, source diversification and European energy autonomy are at the top of the EU agenda.
