  • President Christodoulides has raised the possibility of a formal Cyprus settlement plan being submitted before the end of 2026, coinciding with the conclusion of the term of UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
    Speaking in an interview with Alpha TV Cyprus, the President revealed that behind-the-scenes consultations are underway which could potentially lead to breakthroughs in the long-stalled negotiations.

  • According to Kathimerini, following the meeting in Nicosia between the European Commission, the European Investment Bank (EIB), and the Energy Ministers of Greece and Cyprus, ADMIE received the green light to officially submit a financing request to the EIB for the GSI project.
    During the meeting, participants welcomed as a positive development the joint letter submitted by the Energy Ministers of the two countries, Stavros Papastavrou and George Papanastasiou, regarding the project’s financing following the completion of a due diligence study.
    The meeting was also attended by Dan Jørgensen, Ditte Juul Jørgensen, President and CEO of ADMIE Manos Manousakis, who will oversee the implementation of the project, and EIB Vice-President Ioannis Tsakiris.
