CYPRUS
- During Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Cyprus, President Nikos Christodoulides called the trip “historic,” highlighting strong prospects for economic collaboration. Mr. Modi emphasized the importance of Cyprus as a strategic gateway to Europe, especially through initiatives like the India–Middle East–Europe Corridor (IMEC). Both leaders praised the creation of the India–Cyprus–Greece Business & Investment Council and stressed cooperation in digital technology, AI, energy, and green development. They agreed to deepen economic ties, with a Joint Declaration of Partnership set to enhance bilateral trade and strategic investment.
