Macro/Political:
- Exxon Mobil signed a farm-in agreement with Energean and Helleniq Energy for a 60% stake in offshore Block 2 in the Ionian Sea, Greece. The deal was signed at a P-Tec conference in Athens. According to Energean CEO Mathios Rigas, this will mark the first hydrocarbon exploratory drilling in Greece in 40 years.

- In October 2025, the Athens International airport’s passenger traffic amounted to 3.13 million, 4.0% higher than October 2024. During the first ten months of 2025, the airport’s passenger traffic reached 29.33 mn, above the 2024 levels by 6.4%

- Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis stated that new zoning plans for industry, renewable energy sources, and tourism are included in the government’s plans for the coming period. He added that the simplification of procedures for citizens and businesses, as well as measures to reduce energy costs for industry, will also be part of this agenda.

- NBG’s net income in 3Q25 stood at EUR 277mn compared to EUR 320mn in 2Q25. 9M25 net profit stood at EUR 979mn versus EUR 1,063mn in 9M24. The Bank’s NPE ratio was 2.5% and NPE coverage ratio at 101%. Total Capital ratio and CET1 ratio stood at 21.8% and 19% respectively.

- Credia Bank announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire from the Spanish financial institution UCI a portion of a secured portfolio of claims. These claims arise from performing residential mortgage loans with an outstanding principal balance of approximately EUR 90 mn.

- According to Naftemporiki, Piraeus Bank aims to raise EUR 6 bn from sustainable financing by 2028, of which EUR 2.7 bn will come from green bonds. To date, the bank has raised EUR 1.7 bn through green bond issuances and intends to increase this amount to EUR 2.7 bn, as previously stated.

- Metlen’s total turnover for 9M25 stood at EUR 5.11 bn, compared to EUR 4.2 bn in 9M24 (+22% y-o-y). According to the company, it remains on track to meet its full-year EBITDA target.

- According to seasonally adjusted data released by CyStat, in October 2025 the number of registered unemployed persons in Cyprus decreased to 9,476 compared to 9.671 in previous month.

- In August 2025, the Industrial Turnover Index reached 115,2 units recording a decrease of 3.4% (y-o-y). For the period January – August 2025, the index recorded an increase of 4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

- The Cyprus Composite Leading Economic Index (CCLEI) recorded a y-o-y increase of 2% in October 2025, following the y-o-y increases of 2% in September and 2.1% in August 2025.
