• Total passenger traffic at Larnaca and Paphos Airport in April 2025 stood at 1,157,414 passengers recording an increase of 20.66% compared to April 2024. For the period of January – April 2025 the passenger traffic increased by 11.83% compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.

• Data published by the CBC showed that in February 2025 the non-performing loans (aggregate data for all credit institutions) in Cyprus decreased marginally by EUR 10.49mn (m-o-m) to EUR 1,594.7mn (NPL ratio at 6.2%) from EUR 1,560.2mn (NPL ratio at 6.3%) in January 2025.

• According to seasonally adjusted data released by Cystat, in April 2025 the number of registered unemployed persons in Cyprus decreased to 9,655 compared to 10,035 in March 2025 and 11,043 in April 2024.

• Moody’s upgraded Bank of Cyprus long term ratings and assessments to Baa3 from Ba1, stable outlook. Bank of Cyprus long term senior and junior unsecured (MTN) ratings upgraded to Baa3 from Ba1, the senior unsecured rating was upgraded to Baa3 from Baa1 and the subordinate debt ratings were upgraded to Ba1 from Ba2.
