Moody’s upgrade Hellenic Bank’s credit rating to Baa1

• According to data released by the BoG, in January-February 2025 the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of EUR 836mn, compared to a surplus of EUR 346mn in the same period of 2024. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to EUR 11,636mn, compared to EUR 10,966mn million in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to EUR 10,781mn, from EUR 9,552mn in January-February 2024.

•  Moody’s upgraded Hellenic Bank’s long term deposit rate to Baa1 from Baa2, its senior unsecured debt rating to Baa3 from Ba1, and subordinated debt to Ba1 from Ba2 and its senior and junior senior unsecured rating to Baa3 from Ba1. The outlook has been changed from positive to stable.
