  • According to The Times of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Cyprus on his way to Canada for the G7 Summit, as India seeks to expand its footprint in Europe. Notably, he will be the third Indian Prime Minister to visit Cyprus, following Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2002 and Indira Gandhi in 1983. The visit will be closely watched, as it comes amid tensions between India and Türkiye over the latter’s support for Pakistan.
