- Greece will today auction 13 Weeks T-Bills with maturity October 30, 2026. The amount to be auctioned is EUR 400mn.

- In April 2026, the number of building permits authorized by the municipal authorities in Greece stood at 2,433(+4.2% y-o-y). In the last twelve months from May 2025-April 2026, Total Building Activity (private public) in Greece recorded a 11.4% increase in the number of issued building permits, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

CYPRUS
Macro/Political:
- President Christodoulides, following his dinner with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman, expressed hope that today’s meeting would lead to positive developments. He also expressed satisfaction with the discussions held over dinner, saying he was encouraged by the Secretary-General’s strong political commitment to the process. Speaking to journalists after returning to the Presidential Palace, Christodoulides said that the discussions covered all key issues, including the substance of the Cyprus problem, methodology, existing convergences, the prospect of a broader-format meeting, and confidence-building measures.

- ENI announced that it has reached the Final Investment Decision (FID) to develop the Cronos project in deep waters offshore Cyprus, with the aim of bringing the first Cypriot gas to market in 2028. The company also said the project will develop a field containing more than 3 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of gas initially in place. Production is expected to reach a plateau of 500 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d).
