- On January 7th Greece will auction 13 Weeks T-Bills with maturity April 14, 2026. The amount to be auctioned is EUR 400mn.

- The Overall Turnover Index in Retail Trade in October 2025 increased by 5.3% (y-o-y) and by 2.0% (m-o-m). The Overall Volume Index in Retail Trade increased by 4.2% (y-o-y) and 1.7% (m-o-m).

- The annual growth rate of total credit extended to the domestic economy decreased to 5% in November 2025, from 5.4% in the previous month. The annual growth rate of total deposits decreased at 5.2% in November from 6% in the previous month. The monthly net flow of total credit was positive by EUR 1,827mn in November 2025, compared with a negative net flow of EUR 1,701mn in the previous month. The monthly net flow of total deposits was positive by EUR 1,516mn compared with a negative net flow of EUR 2,585mn in the previous month.

- Motorists traveling towards Athens began encountering traffic disruptions on Greece’s highways on Sunday after farmers reinstated road blockades to protest delayed EU subsidies and other grievances. The farmers had temporarily eased their blockades during the festive period to facilitate holiday travel but appear to have resumed their actions following a meeting of representatives from across Greece held on Sunday.

CYPRUS
Macro/Political:
- Cyprus President Mr Nikos Christodoulides and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone conversation on Sunday. During the call, they discussed, among other issues, the GSI and the planned India-Middle East- Europe Economic Corridor, according to Deputy Government Spokesman Mr Yiannis Antoniou. Antoniou also said that the two leaders reaffirmed the strategic importance of relations between Cyprus and Israel and expressed their will to continue close coordination and cooperation.
Source: Gov.cy - In October 2025, revenue from tourism reached EUR 458,6mn, recording an increase of 12.4% as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year. For the period of January-October 2025, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR 3,431.4mn compared to EUR 2,938.8mn in the corresponding period of 2024, recording an increase of 15%.
