• BoG Governor Mr. Stournaras said that GDP growth is expected to reach 2.3% in 2025, while the primary surplus is projected at 2.6% of GDP. In his speech, Stournaras also stated that U.S. tariffs are not expected to have a direct impact, although the Greek economy may be affected indirectly.

• Preliminary data released by CyStat showed that the General Government fiscal
balance for the period of January – February 2025 presented a surplus of EUR 654.2mn (1,9% of GDP) compared to a surplus of EUR 531.7mn (1,6% of GDP) in the same period of 2024. Primary balance recorded a surplus of EUR 724.8mn versus a surplus of EUR 629.1mn in the corresponding period of 2024. During Jan- Feb 2025 total expenditure increased by EUR 180.8mn (+9.6%) to EUR 2,070.4mn from EUR 1,889.6mn in the corresponding period of 2024. Total revenue increased by EUR 303.3mn (+12.5%) to EUR 2,724.6mn compared to EUR 2,421.3mn in the same period of 2024. Particularly, in February 2025 the General government fiscal balance presented a surplus of EUR 131.3mn (Primary balance showed a surplus of EUR 163.7mn).

•  Total passenger traffic at Larnaca and Paphos Airport stood at 707,304 passengers recording an increase of 5.91% compared to March 2024 (y-o-y). For the period of January – March 2025 the passenger traffic increased by 6.79% compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
