• The EU Commission approved, under EU State aid rules, a EUR 111.7mn Greek measure to support Motor Oil Hellas. The measure will contribute to the decarbonization of the mobility and industrial sectors and will help kick-start the hydrogen market in Greece. The measure will be fully funded through the Recovery and Resilience Facility, following the Commission’s positive assessment of Greece’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, and its adoption by the Council.

• In September 2024, the number of building permits authorized by the municipal authorities in Cyprus stood at 423 compared to 612 in August 2023. During the period January – September 2024, 5.485 building permits were issued compared to 5.274 in the corresponding period of the previous year, recording an increase of 4,0%. The total value of these permits increased by 8,9% and the total area by 10,6%. The number of dwelling units recorded an increase of 10,0%.
