Source: Kathimerini - According to Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, the next increase in Greece’s minimum wage will be announced before Easter. The adjustment follows the previous rise from €650 to €880 per month, placing Greece 11th among EU countries with a statutory minimum wage.
Hatzidakis also noted that the government is making full use of the available fiscal margins and, unlike the opposition, does not have any “magic solutions” for increasing incomes, as such solutions do not exist. However, he emphasized that the government is moving forward with pro-growth policies, including support for entrepreneurship, tax cuts, improvements to the business environment, as well as wage and pension increases to the extent that fiscal conditions allow.
