  • Greece’s Manufacturing PMI ticked up fractionally to 54.4 in August 2026 from 54.3 in July 2026. The latest data indicated a solid improvement in operating conditions, which was the strongest since March. The Greek manufacturing sector recorded a stronger improvement in its health during August, as new orders expanded at a quicker rate. A further expansion in new orders drove another monthly rise in output levels at goods producers, according to panellists. That said, the pace of growth in production slowed from July and was only modest overall. Shortages of some items and supply chain pressures reportedly dampened the upturn. Finally, Greek manufacturers registered greater optimism about the outlook for output over the coming year in August. The degree of confidence surged to its highest level since January 2024 and was stronger than the series average. Positive sentiment reportedly stemmed from increased new orders; new client wins and planned investment in new facilities.
