  • Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has said that gasoline and diesel prices for consumers will fall during the summer following a government agreement with oil refineries aimed at mitigating the impact of the Iran war on fuel prices. More specifically, Mitsotakis said: “Gasoline prices will drop by 10 cents per litre, while diesel prices will fall by 5 cents per litre.” He added that the relief measure would be temporary and remain in effect until the end of August.

  • Provisional data released by CyStat showed that in the period of January – May 2026 the trade balance was in deficit of EUR 3,840.1mn compared to a deficit of EUR 3,416.9mn in the corresponding period of 2025. Total imports of goods in May amounted to EUR 1,309.1mn (22.3% y-o-y) while total exports were EUR 520.4mn (+58.9% y-o-y).
