- Political attention in Greece is focused on the launch of a new party by former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras today in the evening at Thiseio. Tsipras is expected to present the party name, manifesto and core leadership team are expected to be presented today in the evening at an event in Thiseio, central Athens. Over the weekend, Dionisis Temponeras, a prominent SYRIZA member, resigned from the party in support of Tsipras initiative, while several New Left MPs are also expected to follow.

- Based on provisional data, the balance of travel services in March 2026 posted a surplus of EUR 409.6mn, up from a surplus of EUR 172.8mn in March 2025. Travel receipts rose by 55.6% (y-o-y) to EUR 669.4mn, while travel payments also increased by 0.9% (y-o-y) to EUR 487.9mn. In January-March 2026, the balance of travel services showed a surplus of EUR 928.4mn, up from a surplus of EUR 352.6mn in the same period of 2025.

- Bally’s Intralot announced the signing of a new contract with Hellenic Lotteries S.A., part of Allwyn Hellas (formerly OPAP), to deploy its industry-leading lottery technology solutions. The agreement follows Hellenic Lotteries’ recent award, through an international tender, of the exclusive 12-year right to operate and manage Greece’s state lotteries.
