  • EIB financing in Greece has reached a record high of EUR 3.5 bn for projects including climate resilience, water infrastructure and energy security. The 59% increase in financing over the past year has also expanded investment in student housing and boosted industrial production of strategic raw materials in the country.

  • NBG raised EUR 750mn at a yield of 3.537%(MS+90bps) through the issuance of a 7NC6 senior preferred bond. Demand was very strong, with the final order book closing above EUR 3.1bn. Furthermore, NBG announced voluntary cash tender offers in respect of its EUR 450mn 7.5% Notes due in 2027 (ISIN: XS2562213145).

  • President Nikos Christodoulides, in a post on the X platform, commented on Cyprus recording the third-largest reduction in public debt in the EU, with debt levels significantly lower than the average of both the EU and the Eurozone. He noted that this development is a clear indication of resilience and responsible economic planning, adding that the trajectory of the Cypriot economy demonstrates in practice that prudent and responsible fiscal policy delivers measurable results.
