- The Lebanese cabinet has approved an agreement with Cyprus on the demarcation of maritime borders between the two countries, according to a statement published on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic of Lebanon. Lebanese Energy Minister Joe Saddi said the agreement represents an important step toward clarifying Lebanon’s maritime boundaries, which in some areas overlap with those of neighboring states. Sources from the Cyprus Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry told the Cyprus News Agency that the deal marks a “very positive development.” They added that further details are expected during the Lebanese minister’s visit to Cyprus on November 10.

- Finance Minister Makis Keravnos stated that tax cuts for middle-class families, the promotion of women’s employment, the encouragement of home ownership, and the implementation of policies for the environmental upgrading of households are among the main pillars of the tax reform concerning the taxation of individuals. The total cost of these tax cuts is expected to be approximately EUR 150 million in fiscal terms.

- Tourism in Cyprus is expected to achieve record performance in 2025, while for 2026 the Government remains optimistic that the positive trend will continue, according to Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Kostas Koumis. He further stated that in 2025, tourism’s total contribution to Cyprus’s GDP is projected to reach 14%, up from 13.3% in 2024. Finally, Mr. Koumis noted that the first nine months of 2025 represented the best period in the country’s tourism history, recording the largest increase in the EU in terms of stays in licensed accommodation.
