  • The Greek PDMA announced that during the 26W T-Bills auction of EUR 500mn which took place yesterday, the total bids reached EUR 1,009mn and the amount finally accepted was EUR 600mn at a uniform yield of 1.79% (vs 1.74% in the previous 26W T-Bills auction in August 2025).

  • Greek Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou met with U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright in New York to discuss enhancing energy cooperation between Greece and the US. The talks focused on the operation of the Vertical Gas Corridor and Greece’s efforts to reduce its reliance on Russian gas, according to the Greek Energy Ministry. Both sides agreed to place these issues on the agenda of the upcoming P-TEC meeting in Athens, scheduled for November 6–7.

  • Intralot raised EUR 600mn through the issuance of a senior secured bond (6NC2) at a yield of 6.75% and EUR 300mn via a senior secured bond with a floating rate at 3mE + 4.5%.

CYPRUS

Macro/ Political:

  • The Ministry of Finance announced that it has signed a loan agreement with the European Investment Bank for EUR 50mn under the Thalia 2021-2027 program. This represents the second instalment of EUR 50 million from the total loan of EUR 369 million, intended for the co-financing of projects and programs included in the Thalia 2021-2027 Program, which are co-financed by the European Union’s Cohesion Policy Funds.

 

  • Cyprus’s President, Nikos Christodoulides, has a planned meeting today with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. Mr. Christodoulides will also meet today with China’s Premier, Li Qiang.

  • Data published by the CBC showed that in June 2025 the non-performing loans (aggregate data for all credit institutions) in Cyprus decreased by EUR 38.27mn (m-o-m) to EUR 1,454.63mn (NPL ratio decreased to 5.6%) from EUR 1,492,9 mn in May 2025.
