Macro/Political:

  • Greece will today proceed with an auction for the re-opening of the GGB 3.625% with maturity June 15, 2035 (ISIN:GR0124041758). The amount to be auctioned is up to EUR 250mn.

  • Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced yesterday, at the Athens International Investor Summit, the establishment of the Hellenic Innovation and Infrastructure Fund (HIIF). Its creation marks the transformation of the Hellenic Growth Fund into a modern sovereign wealth platform. The HIIF will channel investments into key sectors of the new economy, starting with an initial capital of EUR 303 million and the capacity to leverage up to EUR 1 billion. The fund’s preparation and implementation were supported by BlackRock Financial Markets Advisory.

  • Aegean’s revenues for 1H25 reached EUR 787 million, marking an increase of 5%(y-o-y). EBITDA stood at EUR 156.2 million, increased by 6%(y-o-y.). Net profit was EUR 47.9 mn recording an increase of 109% (y-o-y).

  • In May 2025, the number of building permits authorized by the municipal authorities in Cyprus stood at 607 compared to 709 in May 2024. During the period January – May 2025, 2,764 building permits were issued compared to 3,254 in the corresponding period of the previous year, recording a decrease 15,1%. The total value of these permits increased by 15.5% and the total area by 15,2%. The number of dwelling units recorded an increase of 13.2%.
